For several weeks, the Legislators have had visits from groups of
ministers like Concerned Clergy for Choice, who are committed to abortion rights, and Pride in the Pulpit, who
are associated with Empire State Pride Agenda (ESPA) and advocating for same-sex marriage. Pro-life Senators
and Members of the Assembly are asking Duane and Jason, “Where are your ministers?”
On June 19, they will find out at our first "Power in the Pulpit"
gathering. Power in the Pulpit is a new initiative New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms (NYCF) is
launching to counter ESPA’s Pride in the Pulpit. ESPA claims to have over 700 ministers committed to
the homosexual agenda. NYCF is looking for a thousand Bible-believing ministers who will not bend, blend or bow!
We are looking for ministers willing to mobilize for morality. This is Power in the Pulpit's inaugaral event.
If you are reading this, and you are not a pastor, please let
your pastor know. There is no charge for this event, but we do need ministers across the State of New York
to respond.
NYCF’s goal is to show legislators where you stand on these
issues. The day’s events will include an opening address, presentation of the
"Save Marriage" petition to
legislators, a press conference, a reception with refreshments for pro-family Senators and Members of
Assembly, and prayer.
The rally begins at 10:00 AM sharp – so arrive early! Key
legislators will speak before you receive instructions about the day.
If you need housing the night before, we recommend
Motel 6 off
Everett Road.
Please do not come alone; bring other friends in the ministry.
Fill your church van! Let the New York State Senate and the rest of New York see that there are still REAL
Christian ministers in New York who are serving the Lord and willing to take a stand for morality.

More Information
DATE & TIME: To encourage these Senators who are standing firm on traditional marriage, New Yorkers for
Constitutional Freedoms is asking Bible-believing ministers to join Duane, Tom and Jason at the Capitol, on Thursday,
June 19, 2008, for a Power in the Pulpit rally. The rally will begin at 10:00 AM, in the “Well” of the Legislative
Office Building, and it will conclude at 2:00 PM. A press conference and an appreciation reception, for New York
State Senators and those who have had the courage to challenge the Governor’s recent decision to recognize out of
state same-sex marriages, will be a part of that day. Attendees will divide into teams and be given important
instructions at 10:00; please plan to arrive early!
DIRECTIONS: See the link for a map with driving and parking directions to the Empire State Plaza (the same
complex as Legislative Day, but not in the same room). As you enter the parking garage, you will need a picture ID.
If you are paying with credit card, have it available, along with your driver’s license, so that you do not back up
traffic. If the lot is full, use the Times Union Parking Ramp. Give yourself extra time for parking, security, and
walking to the Legislative Office Building. Since you must go through security when you enter the Legislative Office
Building, do not bring any pocket knives or anything resembling a potential weapon.
DRESS: You will be representing the Lord and New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, so please dress in a
suit and tie; everyone should look “professional.” If you normally wear a clerical collar, it will be appropriate
at this rally. You will be walking long distances, so wear comfortable shoes.
There is no charge for the event, but please let Rachel or Nancy know that you are coming so that proper planning
can be completed. You may contact Rachel or Nancy by telephoning 585-225-2340, or to send an e-mail
click here. Do not come alone; bring your friends
in the ministry. Fill your church van or bus! Let the New York State Senate and the citizens of New York State
see that there are still Christian pastors in New York State who are serving the Lord and are willing to take a
stand for traditional marriage and morality.
If you need lodging the night before the rally, the following three opportunities are available to you.
