1. Brethren, we must pray not only for the defeat of this bill, but for the salvation of our opponents. They advance this moral wickedness because they are in rebellion against their Creator and do not have a right relationship with Him. Pray that those on the frontlines would have speech seasoned with grace and hearts that never forget the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6:12).

2. Call Speaker Sheldon Silver at (518) 455-4100 and respectfully let his office know of your opposition to this bill. Speaker Silver is no doubt hearing a great deal of noise from the proponents of gay marriage, so he must hear from those who support traditional marriage as well.

3. Call your local assemblyperson’s district and Albany offices and let them know of your position on this issue. One phone call makes a difference; many calls, flooding the Capitol, send a message!

4. Circulate the petition (get from link below) and then return it to the NYCF office. It is imperative that more and more people quickly become informed about the issue of same sex marriage in New York State. Please feel free to make copies of the attached petition, share them in your Bible studies, Sunday School classes and whatever other formats would be appropriate.

5. Contact at least five other people and ask them to do the same. Forward this webpage to others on your list and help NYCF inform the Church as to the assault against the family. Supporters of traditional marriage are outgunned financially and our message is not popular in the mainstream media, but grassroots activism is effective. Get involved and spread the word!
