"Bathroom Bill" Tim Gill Backs Rogue Republicans PDF Print E-mail

Last week, Tim Gill, a wealthy Seattle-based gay activist, hosted a fundraiser for the four New York State Senate Republicans that voted for same-sex “marriage” in June.

Senators Alesi (Rochester), Grisanti (Buffalo), McDonald (Capital Region) and Saland (Poughkeepsie) were well rewarded for their base betrayal. The event reportedly brought in about $900,000 for their re-election efforts.

It is clear that money talks, but is this a political payback or a down payment for future legislative activity? What does Tim Gill expect to gain from his efforts?

When Gill successfully flipped the Colorado State Legislature, liberal-leaning legislators returned the favor by passing gender expression non-discrimination legislation, more commonly known as the “Bathroom Bill.” This legislation permits men who are willing to say they are women trapped in men’s bodies access to women’s restrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities.

Could “Bathroom Bill” Tim Gill now be setting his sights on New York?  It certainly looks that way. New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms has only been able to successfully block this bill by one vote in the past. Now that four Republicans have joined the dark side, Gill may be paving the way to a genderless society with large campaign donations.

Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em, you can always buy ‘em.
