The New York State Wagering and Racing Board issued a report that revealed the New York Racing Association has been cheating, short-changing bettors to a tune of $8.7 million.
New York State Senator Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) caused a stir last week when railing against a radical-abortion bill, known as the Reproductive Health Act, he invoked Hitler as a pro-choice advocate.
Earlier this year Governor Andrew Cuomo banned the retail sales of synthetic marijuana, and now the New York State Senate has taken the first step toward what could become the criminalization of these kinds of substances.
The Albany Times-Union reports, “Without providing notice, the Republican-controlled Senate approved $9.95 million in aid to school districts that was apportioned with partisan discretion.”
